Unit Manager Support

To ensure a safe and positive patient experience by supporting the unit manager in the coordination of patient care and management of the unit.

Main Purpose of Job

The primary goal is to provide comprehensive and safe patient care by mitigating risks and meeting set clinical quality standards.

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Patient Care and Safety
• Ensure comprehensive and safe patient care by mitigating risks and meeting set clinical quality standards.
• Manage the patient experience, focusing on comfort, satisfaction, and well-being.
2. Staff Management
• Ensure optimal supply, retention, and utilization of staffing resources.
• Empower and build staff competence through continuous assessment and development.
3. Operational Management
• Assist with the effective management of operational expenses (including stock and capital).

Required Education

Essential Education: Degree/Diploma in General Nursing.

Desired Education: Midwifery or Postgraduate certificate/diploma in a specialty area.

Required Experience

Essential Minimum Experience: 3 years post-qualification experience.

Desired Experience: None.
