    Restaurant waiter/ Waitress

    Location: Mount Edgecombe, KwaMashu, Inanda, Verulam, Cornubia, Phoenix and surrounding area.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    • Matric or equivalent.
    • Tertiary qualification in Sports Marketing or Sport Management (preferred)
    • Must be criminally clear
    • Age 18-30
    • Strong Communication skills (Written and Verbal )
    • Great social and interpersonal skills.
    • Computer Skills ( MS Office - Intermediate user )
    • Previous customer service experience is required
    • Must have a current Food Handlers card issued by the State of Texas
    • Must have a current Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Seller Training Certification
    • Must have full knowledge of the food, beverage, and dessert menu and be able to answer
      customer's questions.

    Responsibilities:

    • The role entails working breakfast and dinner services as well as one lunch service
      each week.
    • Providing excellent customer service to ensure guest satisfaction.
    • Making menu recommendations, answering questions, and sharing information with
      restaurant guests.
    • Prepare mixed drinks and deliver food and beverages to restaurant and hotel guests.
    • Meet and greet restaurant guests when applicable.
    • well and closely with the kitchen team. Prepare tables by setting linen, silverware, and glassware.
    • Clear tables professionally & ensure all relevant service areas are clean and tidy.
    • It is expected that all restaurant team members abide by the Health and Safety
    • legislations and guidelines.
    • To provide support to other areas of the restaurant team.
    • Any other reasonable duties as required to fulfill the needs of the business
    • Show up ready for work (clean and in full uniform) at the time scheduled
    • Maintain your personal appearance in accordance to restaurant grooming standards
    • Smile and be courteous to all guests
    • Assure table center basket is complete with salt, pepper, sugar, dessert menu, month specials
      and prayer before each table is seated
    • Make sure tables, floor, chairs , booster seats and high chairs are clean and ready for the
      following customers
    • Serve guests in the tables assigned to him/her in a timely manner and always making sure that
      all items served have the correct presentation and temperature
    • Take orders and write them in notepad.
