    The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) seeks a highly skilled and self-motivated individual to create professional layouts of research and science-based books and publications, as well as computer-generated graphics for various purposes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Create visually appealing designs and layouts for publications.
    • Manage design projects with supervision from the immediate supervisor.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or equivalent qualification at NQF 7.
    • Postgraduate qualification in Graphic Design or equivalent degree at NQF 8 is advantageous.
    • At least 4 years of experience in graphic design.

    Competencies

    1. Project management skills.
    2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    3. In-depth knowledge of printing processes and requirements.
    4. Capacity for self-training in new software.
    5. In-depth knowledge of image editing techniques.
    6. Basic understanding of copyright restrictions.
    7. Knowledge of design trends and software developments.
    8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    9. Report writing skills.
    10. People management skills.
    11. Proficiency in computer literacy and software applications.
    12. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

    Application Procedure
