Well-established and reputable Assurance and Accounting firm in the northern suburbs of Cape Town is currently recruiting for an experienced Accountant or Bookkeeper.

They have offices in Bellville, Paarl, Malmesbury and Pretoria.


This firm of Chartered Accountants (SA) and Registered Auditors offers a variety of services with the aim of continuously looking for cost-effective, value-added solutions to their clients' business needs.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Perform monthly bookkeeping, management accounts and payroll for clients.
  • Preparing accounting work relating to annual financial statements.
  • Responsible for calculating VAT, PAYE and other necessary SARS requirements on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain excellent client relationships.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Grade 1
  • Diploma/Certificate in Accounting will be an advantage.
  • Experience is more important than qualification.
  • Computer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, Pastel, Sage and Xero).
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a bookkeeper.
  • Must have experience in VAT, PAYE and Income tax.
  • Liaising with SARS.

  • Must have a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must have strong methodical and analytical skills.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure.
  • Must have excellent planning and organising skills.

Remuneration:


  • R10,000 to R25,000 pm, depending on experience.
