RESPONSIBILITIES

• Select and manage external growers and rental areas, providing guidance on production activities for seed reproduction.
• Assist in all seed production aspects, including soil preparation, harvest, and post-harvest activities.
• Supervise workers to ensure efficient production processes.
• Provide support in developing new seed production technology and crop management expertise.
• Ensure production goals are met through planning, field inspection, and record-keeping.
• Identify and address production challenges, seeking continuous improvement in agronomy and quality management.
• Evaluate and analyze trials to enhance seed production processes.
• Contribute to the development of crop protocols and cultivation cost analysis.
• Collaborate with seed companies to ensure high-quality seed delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Agricultural Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Sciences, Agricultural Management, or Agronomy.
• Experience in vegetable seed production, preferably with expertise in hand pollination.
• Knowledge of seed-specific agronomics for crops like Artichoke, Onion, and Carrot.
• Familiarity with hand pollination methods and off-types identification.
• Understanding of seed processing technologies.
• Ability to obtain relevant accreditations and proficiency in MS Office.
• Competence in operating farm machinery and ability to lift weights up to 25 kg safely.
