    Job Title: Packhouse Manager

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Packhouse Manager to join our team at {company}. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our packhouse facility.

    Responsibilities:

    • Operations Efficiencies: Identify areas of improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
    • Monitoring and Measuring Performance and Quality: Oversee the monitoring and measurement of performance and quality standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
    • Protocol Adherence: Ensure adherence to all relevant protocols and procedures, including HACCP, BRC, SIZA, and Global Gap Accreditation.
    • Human Resources/Industrial Relations: Manage employee relations, conduct performance evaluations, and provide training and development opportunities.
    • Oversee Maintenance: Coordinate maintenance activities, ensure equipment is in good working order, and perform routine checks.
    • Customer Service and Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, respond to their needs, and communicate effectively.
    • Financial Management: Manage budgets, forecast expenses, and analyze financial reports to inform business decisions.
    • Food Safety and Compliance: Ensure food safety and compliance with regulatory requirements, conducting regular audits and implementing corrective actions as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Education: Relevant qualification in Agriculture/Business Development/Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
    • Experience: 5-10 years' experience in a Packhouse Manager role or similar role within the food, beverages, or manufacturing facility.
    • Knowledge: Knowledge of BRC, HACCP, SIZA, and Global Gap Accreditation.

    • Leadership and People Management: Proven leadership skills, able to handle people at all levels, and build successful teams.
    • Results-Driven: Can-do attitude, results-driven, and able to implement operationally.
    • Structured Planning and Execution: Ability to plan and execute in a structured manner.
    • Collaboration: Able to work in a highly competitive collaborative market space.
    • Adaptability: Prepared to work long hours and overtime when necessary.

    What We Offer:

    A competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
