Our client


Our client is a market leader in motor engineering, engine remanufacturing, truck, bus and heavy vehicle refurbishment as well as repairs, heavy and diesel fuel injection services.

They have branches located in Pretoria, Middelburg, Steelpoort, Potchefstroom, Kimberley as well as Gaborone in Botswana


Background


As the Manager, you will assume a leadership role in a high-performance business with a focus on revenue growth, profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will be responsible for the financial performance, growth and operational quality of your branch.


Requirements:

- (Non-negotiable) Motor Engineering background and management
(Diesel):

- (Non-Negotiable) Thorough in-depth knowledge of engine parts
  • Diesel
- (Non-negotiable) Knowledge of the Mining Industry and machinery

  • A minimum of 5 years Workshop Management experience
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience of Branch Performance, Sales, Key Customer Relations

Mechanic

Read, Speak and write in English & Afrikaans language

  • Good computer skills required
  • AutoPlan and Microsoft
  • Vast knowledge of electrical and motor engineering
  • Must be able to manage a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and address all critical training and development needs to mobilize staff to perform their functions effectively.
  • Plan, implement and manage projects to meet the agreed timelines while adhering to the planned cost budgets.
  • Ensure effective and optimum utilization of all resource, inclusive of human resources.
  • Effective management of business development function: Identify new business opportunities, monitor and assess the market environment in terms of competitors and current customers.
  • Maintain safety standards and always comply with the company's safety instructions and requirements.
  • Must meet with suppliers and customers to resolve any issues.
  • Facilitate the motivation, loyalty and goal directed activities of all employees and identifying possible areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that the work done is in accordance with the company's standards.
  • Ensure operational and financial targets are met.
Remuneration

  • R R Provident Fund, Travel and Telephone Allowance

Salary:

Up to R35 000,00 per month
