    Your National Diploma in Graphic Design plus minimum 5 years of experience, along with:

    Core Requirements

    • Advanced Business Communication Skills
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
    • Proficient Computer Skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
    • Familiarity with Lightroom and Photoshop
    • Knowledge of Layouts
    • Creative Thinking and Initiative, translating job briefs into design concepts

    • A broad understanding of programming languages is beneficial, specifically:

      - PHP: Core language for server-side functionality, data retrieval, and backend tasks

      - JavaScript: Interactive elements on the client side, especially with the block editor (Gutenberg)

      - HTML & CSS: Structuring and styling content

      - SQL: Database operations, as WordPress stores data in a MySQL database

      - JSON/REST API: Connecting with external applications and structured data transfer

    This will enable you to:

    Duties:

    • Graphic Design and Layout
      • Meet marketing team's various design and typesetting requirements
      • Mix of working in pre-existing templates and free design
      • Design output: annual reports, flyers, brochures, stationery, invitations, graphics, economic reports, photos, direct mail
      • All design work in accordance with the marketing style guide for brand integrity and high quality
      • Improve existing design outputs
      • Meet with Senior Graphic Designer to determine project scope
      • Create images identifying services/products
      • Develop graphics for illustrations, logos, websites

    • Digital/Website

      • Content Updates:

        • Create, edit, and format blog posts, articles, pages

        • Optimize content for SEO, using keywords, meta descriptions

        • Maintain and update media galleries (images, videos)

      • Website Maintenance:

        • Troubleshoot and fix minor technical issues (broken links, formatting problems)

      • Design and Layout Adjustments:

        • Customize page layouts using the WordPress editor

        • Edit themes and templates as needed for cohesion

      • Plugin Management:

        • Install, configure, and update WordPress plugins for new features or enhancements

        • Test plugins for compatibility with the website and other plugins

      • Collaboration and Communication:

        • Work with marketing, content, and design teams to align web content with business goals

        • Collaborate on new website features or campaigns and offer input on potential improvements

    • Communications

      • Responsible for weekly and monthly template lay-outs
      • Responsible for Everlytic lay-outs and sending
      • Uploading documents onto the website/SharePoint

    People

    • Market the company professionally to clients and prospective clients, maintaining sound business relationships
    • Communicate clearly, concisely, and understandably
    • Demonstrate ease in relating to diverse people with varying backgrounds, ages, experience, and education levels

    • Ensure required support in all processes relating to:

    • Use firm databases, technology, and software applications to provide required support for marketing and proposal requests
