    BREAKDOWN & REPAIR SUPERVISOR

    Job Overview:

    This is a leadership role in our Air Conditioning and Ventilation Company, responsible for managing staff, overseeing breakdowns and repairs, and ensuring excellent customer service.

    Responsibilities:

    • Daily Operations:
      • Manage technician schedules and tasks
      • Control daily customer breakdown schedule
      • Communicate with customers and maintain professional etiquette
      • Monitor team productivity and consumable usage
      • Manage van stocks and maintain accurate records
    • Administrative Tasks:
      • Accurately record and invoice job cards
      • Check costings and ensure comprehensive completion of job cards
      • Close invoiced jobs and manage communication with sub-contractors
    • Email Suppliers and Follow Up on Quotes:
      • Email suppliers for quotes on required spares and parts
      • Follow up on quotes sent within 24 hours and escalate older quotes
    • Monthly Tasks:
      • Follow up on sent quotes and delete older quotes
      • Ensure month-end invoice submission and process open jobs
      • Check and balance month-end turnovers
    • General Responsibilities:
      • Effectively manage breakdowns/admin personnel
      • Maintain operational system and manual administration
      • Perform other tasks necessary for the conduct of the employer's business

      Requirements:

      • Matric
      • Own transport
      • Some financial experience (invoicing/debtors/creditors)
      • Minimum 2-3 years' experience managing staff
      • Ability to work independently and in a high-pressure environment
      • Basic to Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
      • High attention to detail
      • Ability to multitask
      • Performance driven, with the ability to plan, organize, and execute tasks
      • Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills
      • Excellent administrative and organization skills
      • Effective planning and time management
      • Knowledge of the HVAC industry would be an advantage
