Retail Store Admin Assistant (Permanent)

Brackenfell, Cape Town
We are looking for a friendly, responsible and ethical Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of in-store duties.


To apply, the applicants must have at least 2-3 years proven experience as an Admin Assistant, in a high-end retail store (ideally in the furniture industry).


Responsibilities:


  • Answer and screen all incoming calls.
  • Organize and schedule appointments for Management and Sales Staff.
  • Preparation of regular scheduled reports for Management to review.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient filing system.
  • Update, maintain and distribute office policies and procedures.
  • Order office supplies and research new products with suppliers / obtain quotations.
  • Ensure that client contact lists are maintained on a regular basis.
  • Make all travel arrangements this experience is essential to apply. Training not provided.
  • Provide general support to clients and handle any enquiries and/or complaints.
  • Ensure that stock levels are maintained, place orders as required and ensure accurate stock records are kept.
  • Ensure that clients receive their stock purchased on time and ensure constant communication, for both deliveries and collection of stock.

Requirements and skills

  • Matric is essential.
  • An additional relevant Qualification will be highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience in all Administration, relating to a Niche Retail Environment.
  • Knowledge of Retail office management systems and procedures is essential.
  • Full proficiency in MS Office is mandatory for this Administrative role.
  • Must have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problemsolving skills is essential within a highend Retail environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required not negotiable communication is key.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and be proactive / use own initiative.
  • Applicants must be fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (nonnegotiable), to fulfil the requirements of this Admin role.

Salary:
R7 000,00 - R10 000,00 per month
