    Job Summary

    Armstrong Appointments is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our team. As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving sustainable growth and profitability in the South African region by selling capital equipment for inspection and coding to various industries.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Understand manufacturing processes of customers and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs.
    • Develop in-depth knowledge of internal sales processes and sales cycles to optimize sales performance.
    • Build extensive product and application knowledge to effectively communicate the value of our capital equipment to customers.
    • Apply technical capital sales knowledge to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
    • Stay up-to-date with competitors' products and services to maintain a competitive edge.
    • Utilize industry application knowledge to provide solutions that meet customers' specific needs.
    • Apply technical knowledge to solve a range of problems and provide expert advice to customers.
    • Develop extensive knowledge of consumables and their applications.
    • Stay proficient in MS Office applications and JD Edwards CRM platform to effectively manage sales activities.

    Requirements

    • Matric certification.
    • Diploma in Sales and Marketing.
    • Relevant technical qualification will be advantageous.
    • 3-5 years of experience in capital equipment sales.
    • 3-5 years of experience in a technical position within the inspection and coding industry.

    • Computer literacy in MS Office applications and JD Edwards CRM platform.
    • Time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage sales activities effectively.
    • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve sales targets.
    • Project management skills to manage sales activities and projects effectively.
    • Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve sales-related issues.
