We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Data Scientist to join our team, dedicated to unlocking the potential of data residing in our Azure systems.

As a Data Scientist at The Capital Hotels & Apartments, you will play a pivotal role in turning data into actionable insights, optimizing guest experiences, and driving revenue growth.

Role and Responsibilities

Work closely with the software development team to identify, extract, and analyse data from various sources within our Azurebased systems.
Develop and implement data cleaning, preprocessing, and transformation strategies to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze and model data, generating meaningful insights for business decisionmaking.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify business challenges and opportunities that can be addressed through datadriven solutions.
Build predictive models to forecast demand, optimize pricing, and personalize guest experiences.
Identify patterns and trends in guest behaviour and preferences to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Conduct A/B testing and evaluate the effectiveness of various strategies and initiatives.
Design and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure the seamless flow of data from source to insight.
Develop data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights and key performance indicators effectively.
Continuously explore and implement innovative data science methodologies and tools to improve the overall data analytics capabilities of the organization.
Stay uptodate with industry trends and best practices in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) working as a Data Scientist in a professional setting, preferably within the hospitality or travel industry.
Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
Handson experience working with data in Microsoft Azure environments (Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, etc.).
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or
Strong knowledge of data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering methodologies.
Familiarity with cloudbased data warehousing, data integration, and ETL processes.

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex data sets.
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Passion for datadriven decisionmaking and innovation.

Preferred:

Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and sentiment analysis.
Familiarity with recommendation systems and personalization algorithms.
Knowledge of big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Understanding of data privacy and security best practices.
