Description

To sell and manage usage of promotional spaces to brands, SMEs, mall tenants and any other interested parties for the specifically allocated mall.

Sell promotional space
Receive a query from a client for promotional space.
Conduct assessment to determine needs of the clients.
Conduct cold calling to identify and explore new business opportunities (new exhibitors).
Manage sales in accordance to set rules and regulations related to signage.
Liaise with Centre Management and Sales Manager in relation to sales approvals.
Compile a proposal and show visuals for the proposed exhibition for approval.
Conduct promotional space selection in conjunction with client.
Complete client contracts and documentation and obtain sign-off.
Submit contracts to BIC for entry into database and billings.
Update all sales on Inventory Management portal (PIMS).
Follow-up on set up and ensure compliance with what was approved and obtain proof of flighting (set up).
Plan and manage sales activities
Consult the sales targets to determine business requirements.
Identify the area with most likelihood of business being generated.
Plan client calls in accordance with business target achievement.
Revise plan in accordance with priorities.
Manage relationships
Consult the sales database to determine the relevant role players.
Schedule meetings with the role players where possible.
Conduct meetings with role players to establish client satisfaction and possible new business opportunities.
Exploit business opportunities or address client complaints.
Update client database to reflect current and relevant information.
Manage contracts/agreement
Receive a request from a client for cancellation of contract or change of details.
Conduct a meeting with the client to determine the reasons for cancellation.
Conduct re-selling meeting with client to continue contract or renew if lapsed.
Manage renewal of contracts within a reasonable time frame before expiry date.
Reporting and Administration
Compile the weekly sales activity report which is sent to Centre Management and Sales Manager.
Compile monthly report to showcase the previous month's sales and insights thereof.

Discuss weekly report contents at weekly sales meetings with Sales Manager and present additional information for further processing by the Sales Manager.

Submit planned trips and associated travel requisitions.
Maintain and manage an onsite file of all sales that are qualified, pending and declined.
Formal education
Matric
Relevant one year qualification in sales or communication or marketing
Experience
3-5 years sales experience in a shopping centre environment
Understanding of event regulations and requirements
Special requirements
Valid drivers licence
Must own a vehicle.
Skills and knowledge
Familiar with the geographical area of Mall.

Business Understanding - understanding of the Primedia business and the client business - including the Shopping Centre AM is based at.

Computer Skills - ability to operate MS Office Suite

Client Management Skills - the ability to manage and liaise with direct clients.
