We are looking for an EXECUTIVE MANAGER: QUALITY SYSTEMS in Cape Town


The Executive Manager:
Quality Systems is responsible for developing the Quality strategy, policies, processes, standards and systems for the Company. Develop and sustain the Quality Management System in line with the required industry standards (including ISO14001 / ISO 9001 / ISO 45001),
accreditation requirements and business requirements across the organisation through existing and new procedures.

Conduct audits and manage the audit program to ensure compliance and that all nonconformities raised against certification bodies during audits are effectively corrected and independently verified.

Embed a
culture of continuous improvement throughout the company. Lead the team to achieve quality management system targets for customers and business goals and alignment across multiple sites. Manage budget.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy Development & Implementation

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices, capacity planning vision,
strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.


POST REQUIREMENTS:


  • BSc / BEng/ B Tech Engineering Degree.
  • Membership of an industry related professional body would be advantageous.
  • At least 10 years' experience operating in high volume manufacturing industry (preferably chemical process industry) with a minimum of 6 years in managing teams.
  • Detailed understanding of ISO14001 / ISO 9001 / ISO 45000
  • Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing skills
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Competent in problem solving and team building
  • Planning, organising and decision making
  • Ability to effectively interface at all levels of management

Fundamental understanding of:


  • Customers' expectations in respect of high quality products
  • Employees' development and engagement
  • Adherence to processes, procedures and policies
  • Good communication - complete chain, from shop floor level to higher management and
vice versa

  • Raw material, manufacturing and procurement
  • Hardware manufacturing and procurement thereof
  • Chemical - manufacturing of energetic materials
  • Chemical - mechanical integration
  • Lot acceptances
