Sales Specialist - Smart Building and Smart Power

We are currently seeking a dynamic Sales Specialist - Smart Building and Smart Power to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa, within the Electrification division.

As a Sales Specialist, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, gaining a deep understanding of their needs, and promoting our full range of products/systems/services to provide tailored solutions.
  • Ensuring a positive and seamless customer experience throughout the entire sales process.
  • Creating value for customers through effective sales techniques, aligning their requirements with our offerings and strategies.
  • Developing and implementing sales plans using company tools, regularly reviewing progress, and proposing recovery plans if needed.
  • Driving marketing activities and value propositions to maximize customer engagement.
  • Identifying and pursuing new market opportunities within the designated sector, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams.
  • Managing administrative procedures within the sales process, providing support in the collection and project management activities when necessary.
  • Collaborating with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager to prepare comprehensive offers, ensuring accuracy in technical and financial aspects, including pricing and trading conditions.

Required qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications such as a National Degree or Diploma, with an Electrical Apprenticeship background being advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in technical sales, preferably focused on Wholesalers or Distributors and/or site contractors' space.
  • Strong background in Electrical & Technical sales.
  • Experience in sales channel management, specifically with Residential and Commercial Builders.
  • Proven track record as a skilled salesperson with an extensive network to leverage off.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a high level of proficiency in English.
