    Purpose of the role

    To manage the overall operations and lead production team at by ensuring effective utilisation of the key resources to ensure the business needs are met.
    The individual is responsible for safety, productivity, quality, resources, and reliability within the production environment.

    Responsibilities not limited to
    • Ensuring all operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective way.
    • Improving operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
    • Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees to the correct standards.
    • Improving and developing operations systems by determining product handling, storage, efficiencies, quality, and safety.
    • Analyse and improve organizational processes and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes.
    • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing predetermined standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
    • The control and management of 200 employees over 3 different shifts.
    • Responsible for all department managers and supervisors, with review/approval responsibility for all operations employees.
    • Responsible for all aspects of the company assets.
    • Ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA health and safety regulations and other governmental regulations.

    Educational qualification, knowledge, and experience
    • Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role.
    • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Leadership ability.
    • Degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field.
    • Min 5 years experience in management/production and/or manufacturing.
    • Health and Safety background.
