    Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    The Chief Risk Officer will oversee and manage the entire spectrum of risks, encompassing credit, operational, market, interest rate, liquidity, and IT security.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Risk Assessment and Monitoring:
      • Conduct thorough analysis and monitoring of risks to provide second-line assessments and comprehensive reports to stakeholders.
    • Stakeholder Engagement:
      • Maintain relationships with third parties, regulatory bodies, investors, and auditors.
      • Keep the board apprised of pertinent risks and associated mitigation strategies.
    • Strategy Development and Alignment:
      • Participate in crafting risk strategy and planning initiatives for the organization.
      • Develop risk strategies tailored to specific business segments.
    • Promotion of Risk Culture:
      • Lead efforts to foster a culture of risk-awareness and accountability within the organization.
      • Advocate for integration of risk-based decision-making into business operations.
    • Additional Responsibilities:
      • Coordinate fraud prevention strategy development.
      • Implement and refine risk management frameworks across all business functions.

      Requirements:

      • Extensive experience in financial services, particularly in Lending and Banking environments.
      • Proven track record in credit risk management, demonstrating delivery and collaboration.
      • Strong background in first-line business and credit operations.
      • Bachelor's degree and post-graduate professional qualification in relevant field.
      • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on credit risk.
      • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
