Summary of Role
Your primary role will be to develop design concepts into technical, regulatory and construction standards & drawings.

This will include information sharing and coordination with various internal members of the team (architects/ interior designers/ production managers), as well as external consultants (engineers/ contractors).

A secondary function of your role will be to assist in developing technical systems and standards which will form part of our larger design ecosystem and product lines.

Job description - duties & responsibilities

• As a competent architectural technician and draughts person, you will administer the following tasks and roles in the company:_
• 3D modeling and development of architectural design.
• Documentation of design, council, and construction drawings, as well as technical detailing for production & construction.
• Coordination with internal disciplines and external consultants & contractors.
• Engagement with local and provincial authority to attain permits.

Required qualifications & skills

• A degree or diploma in architecture, technologist or draughting.
• 5+ years of experience in the building industry.
• An intermediate understanding of construction detailing and use of materials and building systems
• Excellent working capability with Archicad as a primary draughting tool.

- _An advanced understanding of the software's BIM capabilities is a sure bonus_.

• Moderate skill level in Sketchup and Autocad.

- _A further bonus would be proficiency in Adobe suite and any rendering software_.
