    Electrical Procurement/Project Engineer

    About the Position

    A leading International Trading Company is strengthening its procurement department in Johannesburg and requires a self-driven, ambitious individual who can contribute to the growth of the business.

    This role offers an exciting opportunity for career advancement in a dynamic environment where your success will have a direct impact on the company's trading operations in Africa.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct market research on new factories and suppliers to add to the company's database.
    • Research costing and pricing models used by producers and stay up-to-date with market developments in metal and commodity prices.
    • Travel within Africa, China, and India to evaluate factory production capacity, technical competence, product compliance, and quality of technical knowledge.
    • Negotiate contracts including price, delivery, product specification, and compliance.
    • Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing and third-party technical evaluation of products prior to contractual deliveries.

    Requirements

    • You should be excited about traveling abroad and engaging with people to build relationships with current and new suppliers.
    • Attention to detail and administrative skills are essential for this role.
