Position:
Channel Sales Manager


Area:
Sandton


Purpose:

Channel managers to train channel partners, oversee account profiles, and monitor competitor activity. They perform these tasks while fostering communication with resellers and creating plans for growing market share. Develop and manage the company's sales channels. Be responsible for building relationships with channel partners, developing effective channel strategies, and achieving sales targets.


Reporting to:
Director


Qualifications/ Experience:


  • 35 years of experience in channel management or sales (Selling to resellers in the
construction industry) Renewable energy will be a plus.

  • Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to
partners and stakeholders

  • Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with partners
  • Strong problemsolving and negotiation skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change
  • A desire to learn and grow in the channel management field
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • Proven track record of building successful channel partnerships and achieving sales
targets


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
  • Utilize channel management software and systems to streamline operations and optimize performance.
  • Provide support and products / channel policies training to partners to ensure successful implementation of sales strategies and achievement of targets.
  • Manage the performance of existing partners and create strategies to improve sales and revenue.
  • Create and maintaining the strong relationships with partners and collaborate with them to achieve mutual goals and objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitors to stay up to date on market conditions and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts and challenges within the channel, to ensure efficient and effective partner relationships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with channel partners, including distributors, dealers, and resellers, to strengthen the company's position in the market.
  • Identify new channel partners and assess their potential for business growth, to expand the company's distribution network.
  • Monitor daily sales performance and identify areas for improvement to optimize sales strategies and increase revenue.
  • Frequency report and analyze on channel performance and market trends with opportunities and threats to management and stakeholders for business operations and decisions.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including but not limited to product development, customer service, marketing, retails to ensure sales increasing, channel satisfaction and brand awareness.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local laws and regulations, to maintain ethical and legal business practice.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, a proven track record of building successful Channel partnerships, and the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze market trends and data.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
