    Installation Technician Job Description

    We are seeking highly skilled Installation Technicians to join our Installations Department based at the Head Office in Johannesburg. This department is responsible for installing sophisticated electronic equipment into various types of vehicles.

    This role requires individuals who can complete tasks efficiently and according to set standards. The successful candidate will also be required to support the organization, staff within the department, and other departments and branches when needed. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Attention to detail and being well-presented are inherent requirements of the job.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform installations of electronic units into various vehicle types, including motorbikes, trucks, buses, and plant machinery.
    • Meet quality standards during installations.
    • Conduct installations at a site convenient to the customer.
    • Maintain professional communication with customers throughout the installation process.
    • Complete relevant documentation associated with the installation.
    • Provide customer service in accordance with set standards.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 10; Matric certification is advantageous.
    • National Technical Certificate in Automotive Electronics or Motor Mechanic would be beneficial.
    • A minimum of 3 years' experience as an auto electrician, motor mechanic, tracker installer, or in the installation of vehicle accessories and alarms.
    • A valid driver's license (minimum 12 months).
    • Proficiency in computer applications.
    • Ability to travel.
    • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
    • Self-discipline and self-motivation.
    • Creative thinking.
