Methys Group is looking for a Marketing Intern to join our team based in Century City, Western Cape, South Africa.


Responsibilities:


  • Help distribute marketing materials
  • Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail, and web)
  • Monitor all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback
  • Research and evaluate competitor marketing and digital content
  • Creating and executing content strategy for all the Methys group entities: daily social media, weekly newsletters, weekly blogs, weekly podcasts, and regular press releases
  • Manage social media and web channels to amplify content
  • Creating content for all digital platforms: website, startup portal, AfricArena Wired mobile app (articles, podcasts, weekly Wired newsletters)
  • Using the designated Brand Guidelines designing all materials used for communication, and overall brand auditing and ensuring consistency across all communication channels.
  • Liaising with media on distributing content such as press releases
  • Playing a key role in authoring qualitative research reports on tech innovation and investment trends in the African ecosystem
  • Tracking and analysis of campaign performance
Your Profile

  • Marketing Degree graduate
  • Familiarity with social media strategies and platforms
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Ability to multitask and take initiative
  • Hardworking and dedicated outlook
  • Experience with content creation a plus, even if not professionally
  • Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding multitasking abilities
  • Must have a passion for marketing

  • Century City,

Western Cape:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
