Our client is seeking a Quality Inspector who will play a vital role in ensuring that the company delivers a defect free product to the customer and maintain compliance to our ISO 9001 Quality Management System.


Responsibilities:

Performing quality inspections in the designated areas as per the established Quality Control Procedures and Work Instructions.
Producing Non-Conformance Reports and Rectification Notices on items that are not as per the required quality standard.
Conducting a Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving investigation as required.
Performing quality inspection duties on all fabricated components and will identify defects as per fabrication inspection specifications.
Assisting with customer and third-party inspection matters.
Compiling of Data Books.
Conducting Magnetic Particle / Die Penetrant testing (NDT assessments), under guidance of a level 3 specialists.
Assist in maintenance of measuring equipment calibration as per QCPs which may entail; Calibration, Audits, Administration.
Performing quality inspection duties on all receiving components and will identify defects as per receiving inspection specifications.
Performing structural welding inspections.
Conducting measurements using 3D-Arm for precision measurements including completing detailed report.
The ability to co-ordinate and support the sign-off, for FRN (Factory Release Note).
Compiling / improving Standard Operating Procedures.
Conducting process and supplier audits per audit plan.
Ensuring compliance to QMS standards.


Requirements:
Qualification and Skill

At least 3-5 years' experience in a similar position.
Qualified Red Seal Artisan, Diploma in Engineering, Quality or related field.
Qualified Level 2 NDT Technician.
Welding certification in line with standard AWS D will be advantageous.
Experience in steel manufacturing industry.
Basic proficiency in the OFI module (SHEQX) and the ERP system (AX).
