- Key Requirements:
- Degree in IT or relevant experience
- Qualification/Certification in backend development technologies
- 8 years Development Experience
- Agile working experience (mandatory)
- Java 8, 11, 17+
- AWS, RESTful services, Git, JEE 5+, CI/CD
- Knowledge of design patterns, OOP, API Development, Calling and creating REST services, Quarkus (highly advantageous)
- AWS and/or other cloud services and Serverless development technologies, Terraform (highly advantageous)
- Proposing and reviewing system designs and evaluating alternatives
- Reviewing and presenting proposals/system solutions to IT Project Lead, DevOps Team, QA Team, and Product Owner/Business team
- Developing systems solutions in line with IT Security standards and other compliance topics, quality standards, and delivery requirements
- Developing code that is readable, extendable, re-usable, scalable, and optimized for performance
- Ensuring all implementations can be passed over to other developers, mid-development, with minimal handover
