    Marketing Officer

    Introduction

    The Marketing Officer plays a vital role in a dynamic team, contributing to the development and implementation of an effective Brand Communications Strategy.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Manager to craft and execute a marketing strategy that promotes our image, reputation, and visibility among local, national, and international stakeholders.
    • Develop and manage marketing plans and applicable resources.
    • Create, implement, and monitor marketing campaigns across various channels.
    • Prepare detailed advertising briefs and provide solutions to meet specific communication objectives.
    • Partner with agencies and service providers to coordinate their outputs.
    • Ensure high-quality delivery of all production outputs within specified deadlines.
    • Review and secure approval on all communication materials.
    • Commission and manage research studies, including Brand Audits and Focus Group Research, and translate results into actionable marketing strategies.
    • Monitor competitor environments and market trends, translating findings into relevant actions.
    • Initiate and organize events and exhibitions to promote our brand.
    • Protect and enhance our brand image by providing guidance on the proper use of branding and product identity for print and digital media.
    • Oversee creative designs and marketing collateral, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
    • Coordinate internal and external marketing events and promotional campaigns.
    • Support Human Resources in planning and implementing a Corporate Culture program, including Change Management support.
    • Assist with Internal Communications and Public Relations activities.
    • Compile regular reports, including Contact Reports of operational meetings.
    • Provide the Marketing and Communications Manager with insights on relevant risks and opportunities.

    Qualification Requirements

    • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Brand Management, Advertising, Media, or Communications Science.

    Experience and Skills Required

    • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a marketing, media, or communications setting.
    • Proficiency in creative design applications.
    • Familiarity with market research methodologies.
    • Understanding of advertising production and media buying processes.
    • Awareness of audience behavior and media trends.
    • Knowledge of exhibition and outdoor marketing techniques.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to influence and educate colleagues on communication matters.
    • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms.
    • Demonstrated understanding of reputation management and proactive risk mitigation strategies.
    • Flexibility and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
    • Able to identify reputational risks and develop recovery plans.
