    Senior Software Developer Role at Pepkor Payments and Lending

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our team.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Designing and developing databases using MS SQL Server, MySQL
    • Crafting software solutions with C#, .NET 6, MVC, XML, SOAP, WCF, RESTful API's, HTML5, Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, PHP, Stored Procedures, SSIS, Message Queues (RabbitMQ), Visual Studio, TFS, Azure DevOps, GIT, Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon VPC
    • Ensuring the implementation of Continuous Integration, DevOps & SOA principles
    • Developing telephony systems with Asterisk and Presence integrations
    • Leveraging experience in Financial Transactional systems and agile development methodologies

    Responsibilities

    This role may include, but is not limited to:

    • Database design and development
    • User interface design and development
    • Software development and unit testing
    • Creating technical documentation and updating the Wiki site
    • Collaborating with Business Analysts and Test Analysts
    • Researching new technologies and logging analytics
    • Telephony Systems development and integration

    Requirements

    To be successful in this role, you should have:

    • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a software development environment
    • Solid experience with databases: MS SQL Server, MySQL
    • Solid experience with software: C#; .NET 6 and later, MVC, XML, SOAP, WCF, RESTful API's, HTML5, Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, PHP, Stored Procedures, SSIS, Message Queues (RabbitMQ), Visual Studio, TFS, Azure DevOps, GIT, Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon VPC
    • Understanding of Continuous Integration, DevOps & SOA
    • Telephony systems experience with Asterisk and Presence integrations.
    • Experience in Financial Transactional systems (advantageous)
    • Exposure to agile development methodologies (advantageous)
