Key Responsibilities

Content development and platform management

  • Source digital content for online that flows through digital team and into radio shows
  • Develop multimedia story concepts by reviewing identified themes and trends and drafting basic story concepts.
  • Manage the content development process for radio shows by engaging with the content developers, providing support and input into the content development and managing that the final product is in line with the digital strategy and the business brand daily.
  • Prepare online content for marketing and sales campaigns.
  • Ensure SEO best practices are met to ensure maximum organic traffic to the station's digital platforms.
  • Manage the station's paid advertising accounts including but not limited to Meta, Google, Tiktok and Twitter to ensure traffic generation on station website and streams.
  • Ensure station website content is relevant to the KZN audience

Weekly Newsletter

  • Identify the content for the newsletter by reviewing the online platform and identifying appropriate stories in line with the brand weekly.
  • Draft the weekly newsletter by collating the stories, amending the content and designing the template and layout weekly.
Content Management System (CMS) management

  • Create station specific website portals, campaigns and bespoke pages for station and clients by uploading developed content into the CMS (Content Management System)
  • Populate the layout of the CMS by receiving the request for amendments to the layout, identifying the best support mechanism and implementing accordingly as required.

Stakeholder engagement and management

  • Engage with platform partners to ensure thirdparty services are coherent, reliable, and inline with the station's identity and strategy.
  • Manage performance of and upskill digital team.
  • Provide analytics feedback to the business by preparing monthly analytics report
  • Create opportunities for content syndication and affiliate partnerships by identifying and extracting "hot" content, identifying potential revenue partners, preparing motivation and submitting for approval to line manager as relevant.

Proofreading of online content

  • Proofread website content by reviewing the website, evaluating the content in line with the editorial style guide and identifying issues
  • Manage the amendments to the website content.
  • Support content producers (contributors and / or subeditors) by identifying changes in trends, bestpractice and editorial policies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media, Digital Technology, or any related field.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in digital content development
