    Job Title: Training Consultant

    Reporting Structure: The Training Consultant reports directly to the HR Head of Department or HR Manager.

    Requirements:

    • Matriculation Certificate or Grade 12 Equivalent.
    • National Diploma in Human Resource Management or relevant Qualification (Desirable).
    • At least 2 years of experience in an HR/Training environment/role.
    • Valid Driver's License and own vehicle (Code 8 unendorsed) - willing to travel to company stores nationally.
    • SDF/Training Certifications (Desirable).
    • Health and Safety Training Capabilities/Accreditation (Desirable).

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate existing training programs within the business.
    • Ensure training materials are relevant and aligned with business needs and current market trends.
    • Revise, modify, and update training materials within the business.
    • Collaborate with internal departments and Heads of Department to develop training materials that achieve defined learning outcomes and meet business needs.
    • Develop course materials and teaching aids that support content delivery and skills assessments.
    • Conduct training sessions across the business with relevant content for various levels of employees.
    • Deliver effective training through in-person and electronic means.
    • Coordinate training interventions, including logistics and planning.
    • Provide day-to-day guidance and leadership to employees.
    • Implement feedback tools to assess the effectiveness of the training curriculum and content.
    • Track training outcomes and ensure alignment with business objectives.
    • Identify individual and organizational barriers to learning and facilitate training interventions.
    • Respond to trainee questions and adjust course content to meet learner needs.
    • Establish evaluation and feedback channels.
    • Perform ad-hoc duties assigned within an HR department environment.

    Brand Ambassador:

    • Enhance the company's external brand and image by building relationships and partnering with key stakeholders in the training and development sectors.
    • Promote an attractive employer brand across territories.

    Reporting:

    • Compile regular weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc project reports on training interventions and needs.
    • Report on training interventions that benefit the business and/or are relevant to the retail industry.
    • Determine metrics to track and monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of the training function.
