Plant Engineer ref no. IVP-PL-01 - Mokopane - Ivanhoe

Description

Ivanplats is seeking a Plant Engineer to support the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province, near Mokopane. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and maintain plant equipment and machinery
• Develop and implement asset management strategies for optimal efficiency and productivity
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery and execution of projects
• Manage shutdowns and maintenance activities to minimize downtime and prevent equipment failure
• Establish and monitor project schedules using contemporary scheduling software
• Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and objectives

Requirements:

• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree
• GCC Mines and Works certification
• Valid South African Driving License
• 10+ years of experience in a mining environment as a GCC Mining Engineer
• Proven track record in maintenance management and plant operations
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, civil, and architectural disciplines
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
