Job Purpose:

A Lecturer (Independent Contractor) vacancy exists at the Waterfall campus in the School of Information Technology the following qualification for the 2023 academic year:

  • IIE Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences in Application Development

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

An Honours degree in Information Systems or Computer Science.


Alternatively:


  • Honours degree in a businessrelated field with IT modules to the 3rd year

Minimum Work Experience Required:


  • Lecturing experience in general IT topics.
  • Knowledge of the following:
  • Various roles for the IT professional and the personal, social, ethical, and legal impact arising from their work.
  • Effectively participate in a range of two way oral and written communication forms using appropriate intrapersonal and interpersonal communication skills and technologies.
  • Use a variety of techniques to enhance working cooperatively and managing conflict as part of a team.
  • Legal and Ethical Issues for IT Professionals.
  • Gather information, critically evaluate the material, and use correct citation techniques when writing the material into an appropriate format.
  • Git and GitHub.
  • Work experience in an IT field.

Working Conditions:


  • Availability to lecture Parttime during the week, between 8am 5pm on campus.
  • Deliver module content as prescribed in Module Outline.
  • Provide a student support function through consultations, where necessary.
  • Grade all assessments for assigned classes.
  • Please note that this is an Independent Contractor role.
