    Administrative Officer: Administrative Support (Facility Management)

    The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government, seeks a suitably qualified and competent individual to provide administrative support services.

    About the Role

    This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Administrative Officer, providing essential administrative support services to the component. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Providing effective office administration and management support services to the Component.
    2. Handling general enquiries pertaining to the functioning of the component and managing component correspondence.
    3. Maintaining and controlling leave and asset register for the component.
    4. Providing budget support to the component, assisting in compiling the budget expenditure for the directorate and completing the IYM.
    5. Maintaining and assisting with implementation of the component's monitoring and evaluation system, developing and maintaining a comprehensive database of networks and service providers.

    Requirements

    To be considered for this role, you must possess:

    • An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-degree or higher qualification);
    • A minimum of 1 year relevant experience;
    • Knowledge of government systems, policies, and the Constitution, legal and institutional arrangements governing the SA public sector;
    • Skills in problem-solving and decision-making, creative thinking, written and verbal communication, planning and organizing, analytical and systems thinking, conceptual and formulation, and computer literacy.

    Remuneration

    The remuneration package includes a salary of R 376 413 per annum, which reflects the salary level 8, and additional benefits such as medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc.
