Job Description:

Customer Strategy and Solutions Design

  • Oversee the Islamic customer management value chain from customer strategy through to preexecution, including the development of execution briefs.
  • Identify CVP development requirements and establish development initiatives, in conjunction with the relevant business partners.
  • Engage with various Absa stakeholders to develop deep understanding and insight of the performance of existing product and service propositions, identify areas of performance improvement and translate into actionable plans.
  • Drive specific strategies for the Islamic Banking customer segments that deliver on the Islamic Customer Segment Value Propositions.
  • Understand the customer strategies for specific segment and subsegments and ensure alignment from an Islamic Banking perspective whilst considering niche customer dynamics.
  • Translate the segment customer strategies into actionable and measurable CVPs by aligning products and services, sale and service model, pricing, customer experience relationship model and rewards.
  • Collate strategic information from target market to enhance and create Islamic Banking CVPs
Analytical insights

  • Provision of well researched information to inform business decision making.
  • Segments Insights: Identify the need and support the implementation of primary research on the segment market. Actively keep up to date with all relevant knowledge, legislation and developments within the business unit and Islamic Banking industry that may have an impact on the business advantage.
  • Perform analytical insights on the Islamic customer base to drive better value from existing customers
  • Work closely with sales team to ensure targeted campaigns are performed after providing deep insights into the customer base
  • Assist with lead generation by obtaining lists of potential clients through interactions with various key industry stakeholders and perform additional research on each client to qualify them as a potential lead

Relationship Building:
Build and maintain productive relationships with industry role players and other key stakeholders (both internally and externally)

  • Conduct sectoral client needs analysis, product gap analysis for existing products and ensure business addresses these gaps as part of the strategy
Business enablement

  • Identify and monitor the key initiatives that underpin Islamic Banking strategy across segments and drive delivery of the strategy
  • Provide specialist advice and support in the development of tactical strategy and plans
  • Assist with the delivery of key projects and initiatives as required
  • Aid with the integration of Islamic Banking into the product house and segment strategies
  • Drive the longterm transformation of the Islamic Banking Treasury Operating model
  • Alignment of pricing across products, segments and ensuring appropriate mandates are in place
Education

Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas:
Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
