The Math Team Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the team across integration math, studio math roadmap and math insights.

Lead, mentor and develop a bench of mathematicians in best practice approaches to develop math solutions.

Oversee end-to-end implementation of math solution development, testing and deployment; statistical modelling and simulation techniques; and best practice game design philosophy.


Team Management

  • 1)Ensure that the workload within the team is distributed fairly and_ in line with the team's priorities to deliver on departmental OKR's. _
  • 2) Keep abreast of talent pool to contribute to the recruitment of _top talent. _
  • 3) Drive succession, training and development within the team to _ensure resource capability and business continuity. _
  • 4) Maintain a healthy and culturally aligned team._

Project Management

  • Oversees and runs projects in line with the established guidelines_ from project inception to completion to ensure project delivery _within timing and budget. This includes the management of _resources and teams required to deliver on the project outcome. _
  • Scoping project and managing stakeholders within the process._

Strategy Development & Management

  • 1) Build and develop the longterm mathematics strategy for the _business aligned to the overall data and business strategies_
  • 2)Develop the mathematics roadmap aligned to the mathematics _Strategy_

Expense Management
- _Manage expenses for maths team _
- _Display financial acumen in managing budget for math team_


Develop Mathematical Models

  • 1) Ensure delivery of game mathematics, within the agreed _deadline, to ensure they are correct and aligned with the math _
- specification documents provided by Games Global stakeholders._

  • 2) Researches, develops and implements mathematics tools to _verify calculations within games are accurate and correct._
  • 3) Maintains required documentation library to ensure accurate _specifications, summary documents and processes._
  • 4) Develops playable prototypes to allow for review of game _mathematics._

Support Queries for Mathematical Models

  • 1) Provides support for queries on game rules and support calls _to ensure issues are resolved in line with the agreed SLA._
  • 2) Ensure legality and product standards are maintained in all_ markets by liaising with the relevant teams and specialists._

Research and Develop New Mathematical Tools or Processes

  • 1) Direct the research, analysis & monitoring of _competitor positioning, customer insights and market trends to project product demand/profitability, product features/enhancements and suggest adaptions to the maths models within Games Global._
  • 2) Research and develops new and faster ways to calculate _mathematical models._
  • 3)Research and develop new maths methodologies aligned to _ML and AI principles (as per the data strategy)_
  • 4)Research and develop new automation techniques to ensure_ increased effectiveness and quicker deliver of maths models to _business_

Math Society & Academy Leadership

  • 1) Manage, develop, optimise and deploy training courses and _interventions to target the learning and development of _mathematics skills. Ensure the development of pipeline & _successive talent through innovative, engaging and high ROI _training programmes_
  • 2) Research trends and best practice to drive innovative and _technology enabled teaching & learning._
  • 3)Responsible for maths knowledge sharing and building _trainthetrainer toolkits for mathematics literacy upskilling _studios and business teams_

_ SKILLS COMPLEXITY AND CREATIVITY_

  • Advanced Microsoft SQL (Structured Query Language) for scripting and for developing SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages and data quality tools.
  • Strong experience recruiting, managing and developing technical staff.
  • Intermediate data analytics experience would be preferable.
  • Sound understanding of statistical data quality control and statistical process control.
  • Expert domain understanding and understanding of endtoend data lifecycle management.
  • Problem solving involving critical & analytical thinking, creativity & innovation.
  • Support of business and product development experience desirable.
  • Great communication, listening, time management and presentation skills.
  • Truly enjoys telling the story behind data. Ability to coach technical and nontechnical staff.
