QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Requirements - Matric Senior Certificate

Preferable Qualification - Diploma in Graphic Design or Certificate in Graphic Design


WORK EXPERIENCE:

Experience in the Printing and/or Signage Industry would be an added advantage but is not compulsory.

Must be able to work in
Corel Draw at a beginner level at least or be able to learn the basics within 3- 4 weeks.

Anyone who is NOT computer literate will NOT be considered for this position.

Experience in designing advertising material and signage would be an advantage but is not a pre-requisite as training will be provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Editing and cropping of images from our library as well as adding to the library of images.

Managing Images and files in an organised manner.

Producing print ready layouts as per clients specifications and requirements.

Working under VERY tight deadlines at an above average pace (the type of work to be completed requires speed and accuracy)

Required to work accurately with mínimal or no supervision within prescribed time frames.

Create layouts and templates in advance with regards to seasonal work.

Work with a small team and liaise with management and print room staff on a regular basis.

Be able to take instructions and carry out designated work to the best of your ability without supervision.

Understand the client's needs and translate this into print ready artwork / design whilst following the work through to completion.

Report regularly to management on the progress of your work.

Work as a team player in order to meet the company's ultimate objective - excellent customer service

PERSONALITY:

We are looking for a people's person who will fit into a small team and work closely with other staff.

The ability to communicate effectively and take instructions is key.
