A leading confectionery importer and distributor with an exceptional product range of chocolates, sweets, sodas, and groceries, is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Manager to join their team.

They are a leader in importing and distribution for brand owners across the globe. With the goal of providing top-quality confectionery products to the South African consumer.


Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric)
License and own reliable vehicle
Warehouse and Logistics Diploma or Certificate
Extensive Warehouse and Logistics experience
Experience picking and dispatching
Experienced dealing with vehicle maintenance
Experienced in staff management
Experienced in inventory control
Experienced in dealing with forklifts and other vehicles


Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics. and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met.
Manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, packing and dispatch activities within the warehouse.
Inventory accuracy, coordinate orders, and track shipping times, ultimately overseeing the fulfillment of orders.
Warehouse space management.

Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.

Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy and careful implementation.
Staff Management and supervision.
Access control to warehouse.
Always maintain Cleanliness of the warehouse
Shelves neatly packed at all times and space maximization
Coordinate the whole process of order picking and dispatch.
Make sure you have all the orders that need to be dispatched from admin staff.
Efficient and timeous dispatch of orders.
Meet with admin staff and warehouse staff in the morning to discuss tasks for the day
Make trip sheets per area and per driver, being aware to save petrol, but maximise customer satisfaction.
Check all orders dispatched with drivers.
Do not allow any goods to come back in the warehouse unless accompanied with paperwork
Goods can only be brought back with a signed returned pick-up slip
Nobody to take stock out of the warehouse without your permission. Reps, drivers, any staff
Vehicle maintenance.
Check drivers/Reps give you petrol slips
Monitor time between services.
Vehicle Licenses renewal
Driver's license renewal
Forklift maintenance, make sure its serviced when needed and gas always available with back up.
Trip Sheets signed for and taken daily
Regular communication
Assist with calling receiving departments
Report daily tracking to management
Manage Warehouse staff
Supervise keeping the warehouse, ensure tidy at all times
Load the trucks with your supervision.
Keep an attendance record for all warehouse staff daily when they are off sick or on leave.
Appoint staff to do regular stock takes and stock checks.
Prior to count make sure all credit notes and receiving goods have been entered on Pastel
Reconcile the stock check
Check discrepancies

Maintain and Order Packaging tapes
Maintain and order Pallet wrap
Maintain and order Boxes
Ordering of local lines from local suppliers.
Make sure the courier vehicle comes daily
Speak to courier driver and head office to make sure it comes on time
Make sure courier orders ready for dispatch on time
Waybills made out
Stickers stuck on boxes
Warehouse staff have made boxes to pack
Direct staff to direct container into yard
Direct staff to offload
Supervise packing goods for easy count
Once counted hand count to Accounts and management
All paperwork to be completed timeously and passed to relevant department
Write reports on all and any warehouse or staff incidents
Daily/Weekly meeting with management
Daily meeting with warehouse staff
Driver meetings
