    Description

    Job Title: 1st Line Support IT Technician

    Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

    Shift: Night Shift (15:00 - 00:00)

    We are seeking an experienced 1st Line Support IT Technician to join our client's international cruise line in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will provide technical support during night shifts for the international call centre.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Matric qualification or equivalent
    • A+ and N+ certifications
    • Proven track record with two reference checks conducted upfront

    • Proficiency in Office 365 and MS Teams
    • Self-motivated, disciplined, organised and proactive individual

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Hardware Setup: Set up new PC equipment and peripherals
    2. User Management: Manage user accounts across various platforms and onboard new users
    3. Technical Support: Provide technical support for Office 365 and other Windows-based applications
    4. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues
    5. Client Support: Guide colleagues or clients through technical problem resolution
    6. Reporting: Generate reports for Telephone Management, Access Control, and CCTV Control software
    7. Emergency Support: Handle emergency technical issues during normal business hours
    8. Service Requests: Open and manage service requests using ticketing software, ensuring closure within 48 hours
    9. Desktop Support: Provide desktop, peripheral, multifunctional printer, and network support
    10. Contact Centre Support: Assist with contact centre application and mobile device setup/support
    11. User Training: Train users on new implementations and provide ongoing technical support
    12. Documentation: Maintain internal technical documentation and records of IT assets
    13. Stock Management: Manage stock of equipment and consumables
    14. Access Control: Oversee access control registry and equipment auditing
    15. Preventive Maintenance: Participate in preventive maintenance and other assigned projects
