Job Purpose:

As a Financial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects of the company.

This includes handling day-to-day financial operations, managing the finance department and its staff, implementing and maintaining effective financial controls and processes, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

The Financial Manager will be a key player in the company's financial decision-making process, ensuring financial stability and contributing to the organization's growth.


Responsibilities:


  • Debtors Management
  • Oversee the debtor's function, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections.
  • Monitor and manage outstanding debts, taking appropriate actions for collection.
  • Collaborate with Call Centre Finance Team and Marketing and Sales to address any debtorrelated issues.
  • Creditors Management
  • Oversee the cash book and bank transactions to ensure accuracy and proper recording.
  • Monitor cash flow and make cash management decisions to optimize liquidity.
  • Reconcile bank accounts regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Cash Book Management
  • Oversee the cash book and bank transactions to ensure accuracy and proper recording.

  • Monthly Overhead Expenses
  • Manage and analyse monthly overhead expenses, ensuring they are within budgetary limits.
  • Work with relevant departments to control expenses and improve cost efficiency.
  • All Payments
  • Authorize and review all payments, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor payment schedules to avoid late payments and penalties.
  • Monthend Management Accounts
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely monthend financial reports.
  • Analyse financial data and provide meaningful insights to support decisionmaking.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve financial performance.
  • Meet deadlines in terms of monthend Management Account reporting.
  • Cash Flow Forecasts
  • Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts to project future financial needs.
  • Provide recommendations to senior management for managing cash flow effectively.
  • Meet deadlines in terms of Cash Flow reporting.
  • Budgeting
  • Collaborate with department heads to create annual budgets.
  • Monitor budget performance throughout the year and propose corrective actions as needed.
  • Year-End Audits
  • Coordinate and manage the yearend audit process.
  • Provide necessary documentation and information to auditors for a smooth audit.
  • Good Governance, Controls, and Processes
  • Establish and maintain robust financial controls and governance practices.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and relevant legal requirements.
  • Implement and update financial policies and procedures as needed.
  • Staff Management
  • Supervise a team of approximately 15 finance staff members.
  • Set performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Requirements:


  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent Level 4 qualification issued by SAQA
  • Clear Credit and Criminal Record (Fraud Prevention
  • Dealing with Finances)
  • A minimum of 1015 years of experience in financial management or senior finance roles.
  • A BComm Financial or Chartered Account Degree is preferred, but significant management experience in a finance department can be considered.
  • Proven track record in managing and leading a finance team effectively.
  • Strong financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems. Sage Evolution.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Demonstrated problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.

Salary:
R750,000 to R950,000 per annum, excluding bonuses.
