    We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Assistant Manager to join our Quantitative Advisory Services (QAS) team in Johannesburg or Cape Town, South Africa.

    The successful applicant will work with us to provide credit risk, market risk, and data science solutions to banking, insurance, and other corporate clients.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design, review, and validate credit risk models (PD, LGD, EAD, and ECL) under IFRS 9
    • Design, review, and validate Basel IRB models
    • Conduct credit impairment assessments and due diligence reviews
    • Create data visualizations and generate insights
    • Design and review credit risk pricing models
    • Design and review economic capital models

    Clients and Business Responsibilities

    • Participate in client engagements and build relationships
    • Develop informed views on industry issues and their implications for clients
    • Assist with new business sales and identify opportunities
    • Maintain an educational program to develop personal skills

    Requirements

    • Relevant Honours or Masters degree
    • Professional qualification such as CFA or FRM a plus
    • A minimum of 4 years relevant working experience
    • Proficiency in SAS, R, or Python
