    We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Representative/External Sales professional to join our team.

    Job Objective

    • To serve as a technical sales specialist, focusing on the sales of complex technical products to distributors, end users, OEMs, and Project Management Companies.
    • The ideal candidate will be responsible for extensive travel across many provinces and some customers in foreign countries.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Finding potential customers through various means, including recommendations from current clients, industry journals, and internet research.
    • Conducting market research and providing valuable feedback to stakeholders.
    • Maintaining and expanding the distributor network.
    • Meeting with customers and technical staff to understand their needs and preferences.
    • Preparing and delivering engaging presentations that showcase product benefits.
    • Negotiating contracts, quotations, sales orders, and arranging delivery logistics.
    • Regularly checking in with customers to assess the performance of installed products and offer additional services and products.
    • Developing and implementing product training programs for customers and employees.
    • Visiting customers periodically to evaluate market size and influencing factors.
    • Compiling visit reports to inform business decisions.
    • Quoting customers, confirming orders, delivering, and invoicing customers using SAP systems.
    • Following up on outstanding quotations on a weekly basis.
    • Expediting customer orders and keeping customers informed about delays or changes.
    • Handling customer complaints and resolving conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
    • Responsible for conducting customer satisfaction surveys to gauge product performance.
    • Providing annual sales and budget figures for all products and markets.
    • Developing and implementing sales price lists for key customers.
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with top 20 key customers.
    • Creating and sending monthly email product campaigns to stay engaged with customers.
    • Contributing to online marketing activities to increase brand visibility.

    Qualifications and Skills

    Requirements:

    • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience in Transmission Components, Brakes, Gearbox, or Materials Handling.
    • A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 3 years of related work experience, or trade qualifications (fitter and turner or equivalent) with 5 years of related work experience.

    Inherent Requirements

    Essential Skills:

    • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills to build strong connections with customers and colleagues.
    • Strong influencing skills to drive sales and negotiate agreements.
    • Presentation skills to deliver compelling product pitches.
    • Technical competence, with either a degree or trade qualification and practical work experience.
    • Previous experience in technical marketing or sales is highly desirable.
    • Effective negotiation skills to secure deals and resolve issues.
