SPECIALIST:
RESOURCE AND INFORMATION CENTRE

(12 months part time temporary contract) Daily Rate of R1,889.72


Key Performance Areas:


  • Maintain an effective running of SAQA's Resource and Information Centre.
  • Maintain an effective record keeping.
  • Sustainability of the Library Management Information System.
  • Evaluation of new and existing information resources.
  • Maintain and improve the quality and standards of information services provided to end users.
  • Provide SAQA staff, stakeholders, and the public with information and search facilities.
  • Establish and manage links with other libraries, research, and information providers.
  • Administer Resource and Information Centre stock.
  • Assist with editing new materials on the Library Management System.
  • Manage Resource and Information Centre stock.

Requirements:


Essential:


  • Must hold an appropriate and recognized qualification at NQF Level 6 in Library Management or equivalent.
  • An NQF Level 7 qualification on the 10 Level NQF will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in managing an academic library and information.
  • More than 2 years of appropriate library management experience will be an added advantage.
  • Must have good knowledge of SAQA policies and procedures, NQF, and related legislation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, customer orientation, and attention to detail.
