Diesel Mechanic Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Express Employment Professionals (Witbank) in Ermelo, Mpumalanga.

About the Role

• This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of approximately R300,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Evaluating tasks required for vehicle repairs and maintenance;
• Preparing work plans to ensure efficient completion of tasks;
• Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting results to offer suitable solutions;
• Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhausts;
• Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts;
• Conducting field visits in case of emergencies or sudden breakdowns;
• Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge performance;
• Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.

Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification;
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle;
• Qualified Diesel Mechanic Trade certificate;
• A minimum of 3-5 years' experience working on commercial vehicles;
• Familiarity with DAF, FAW, PowerStar, UD, and Iveco trucks.
