Responsibilities / Duties / Job Skills
HSE related duties:
- Implement ISO 45001:2018 and to maintain it over the periodic surveillance audits.
- Conduct safety assurance activities, as directed, and as per ISO 45001:2018 standard.
- Provide HSE support to the projects by maintaining a visible presence in the workshops and on sites.
- Assist in the coaching, mentoring and implementation of the HSE programmes in the workshops.
- Regularly review and be familiar with all applicable legislation and applicable standards, to ensure compliance.
- Inform the management team and supervision of any new or conflicting legislative matters that could impact projects
- Regularly audit the system for compliance and update to ensure the alignment with standards.
- Organise and schedule required safety staff and first aid coverage.
- Provide direction, HSE support and resources to all project managers, supervisors, team leaders and safety officers.
- Ensure that all incidents are reported immediately.
- Participate in the investigation of incidents to determine root cause and corrective actions, where necessary
- Ensure incident corrective actions are followed up on and completed.
- Ensure injured workers are offered modified duties and that all documentation has been duly completed.
- Ensure the safety team training is uptodate and competencies comply with requirements, based on the training matrix.
- Review safety obligations of client projects and ensure these are carried out as per the terms of the agreements and communicated to the project manager involved.
- Ensure new employees are inducted to Cinco's requirements, and all required documentation is completed accurately and forwarded to HR.
- Ensure safety boards with postings including but not limited to: Health and Safety policy, inspections and audit results, project hazard assessment, location of first aid, etc. are maintained and current with assistance from the HSE Administrator.
- Ensure that the following material is available and on site or work place, Cinco's HSE Manual, safety inspection forms, observation forms, JSA forms, copy of OHSAct, etc.
- Coordinate a regular meeting with safety team to review issues, trends and upcoming projects.
Manage the following:
- Rigging store control.
- Safety committee attendance.
- Safety walkabout.
- Safety incentive scheme.
- Routine and nonroutine lifts, etc.
Buildings, facility and equipment management
- Implement and manage the company's security system (CCTV security systems, key control).
- Manage any new works impacting the company buildings and facilities.
- Manage the flammable stores and the hazardous wastes.
- Manage compliant company scrapping and waste procedures.
QM related duties:
- Internal audits create internal audit schedule and perform internal audits on various departments and processes as per internal audit schedule, report on internal audit. Ensure findings are closed out.
- Critical supplier audits create critical supplier audit schedule and perform critical supplier audits as per critical supplier audit schedule, report on internal audit. Ensure findings are closed out.
- New subcontractor audits as requested from project team and management. Perform critical supplier audits as per critical supplier audit schedule, report on internal audit. Ensure findings are closed out.
- Supplier alerts send out supplier alerts where required after supplier evaluations. Ensure alerts are closed out.
- New employee inductions to the quality management system.
- Internal training provide internal training for QMS for Cinco Engineering personnel, where required / as instructed.
- Quality manual adherence to quality manual. Updated of quality manual.
- Quality policy maintain and update where required.
- Strategic direction update / communicate as per Top Management.
- Internal supplier evaluations ensure suppliers are rated annually, internally by buyers and that issues are addressed accordingly.
- Context of the organisation maintain and update as per Top Management.
- Objectives per department ensure it is set, monitored and reported on to Top Management.
- Communications matrix reporting where required.
- Equipment control review monthly.
- Risks & opportunities ensure it is set and updated where required.
- Interested parties maintain and update where required.
- Customer satisfaction send out surveys, update feedback register and report on feedback, ensure close out of any negative feedback.
- Customer complaints ensure close out of any customer complaints raise internal NCR's.
- Lessons learned obtain completed lessons learned, update summary, distribute and organise meetings.
- Nonconformances review and ensure corrective actions are implemented, timeous close out, communicate to relevant parties.
