Job Title: Practice Manager

A renowned animal hospital in the Boland Area seeks an experienced and dedicated Practice Manager to oversee daily operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities

Staff Management:

Screen and train staff, veterinary technicians, administrative staff, and support personnel.
Create and manage staff schedules for 24-hour coverage.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
Foster a positive work environment promoting teamwork and effective communication.
Address and resolve staff conflicts or issues promptly and professionally.

Operational Management:

Oversee daily operations ensuring compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.
Implement rosters for hospital personnel for smooth practice operation.
Maintain hospital policies and procedures for high-quality care and service.
Coordinate maintenance and cleanliness of hospital facilities.
Monitor billing processes.

Client Relations:

Ensure exceptional customer service addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
Manage client feedback and implement improvements for enhanced satisfaction.

Quality Control:

Maintain highest standards of veterinary care and patient safety at all times.
Implement quality assurance programs and protocols.
Stay current with industry developments and advancements in veterinary medicine and hospital management.

Emergency and Crisis Management:

Develop emergency protocols for handling urgent and critical cases.
Train staff for efficient response to emergency situations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Veterinary Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a management role within a veterinary or healthcare setting.
Strong leadership and team management skills with ability to motivate and develop staff.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in AVIMARK and other relevant technology.
Knowledge of veterinary regulations and standards of care.
Compassion for animals and commitment to providing exceptional care.
