    Duties & Responsibilities

    1. Perform regular quality control checks, generate reports, and monitor temperature levels for raw materials.
    2. Inspect packaging and labels on all products before dispatch and check equipment for sanitation and integrity.
    3. Monitor staff entrance to the production area to ensure adherence to hygiene practices.
    4. Ensure staff use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) requirements and report non-conformance to management.
    5. Plan and schedule the cleaning team to ensure adherence to cleaning schedules and display of schedules.
    6. Supervise cleaning activities delivered by cleaners and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
    7. Compile QC reports and checklists to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
    8. Perform sensory evaluation for incoming raw materials to ensure consistent quality and product improvement.
    9. Conduct preoperational checks for hygiene and quality standards and implement corrective actions as necessary.
    10. Develop and maintain knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards to stay up-to-date with best practices.

    Desired Experience & Qualification

    The successful candidate must have:

    1. Matric with a degree in Food Science or relevant qualification.
    2. At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in the Food Manufacturing Industry.
    3. Practical experience supervising a team in practicing day-to-day quality control/assurance, hygiene, health, and standards.
    4. Knowledge of basic Food Safety, HACCP Implementation, line inspections, and housekeeping will be advantageous.
    5. Basic computer literacy skills and ability to communicate effectively.
    6. Leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to build customer relations and resolve conflict.
    7. Self-motivated and driven with strong integrity.
    8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    9. A valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
    10. Willingness to work night shifts.
