Job Purpose:


My client are looking for an organized dispatch manager to supervise the checking, packing, distribution of parts to customers and manage our fleet.

To ensure success you need to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and perform your duties in a manner that maximizes profits.

Job Objectives:


  • Provide leadership and guidance to dispatch team.
  • Maintaining an efficient workflow
  • Fleet Management including asset utilisation, maintenance, and usage analysis.
  • Spot check routes to ensure delivery processes are efficient.
  • Spot check fleet to ensure vehicle conditions are up to date.
  • Review and calculate trip delivery costing.
  • Supervise supervisor's workforce plan allocations to maximize the operational efficiency of the department.
  • Ensure that all equipment is properly always maintained and operational, including workstation computers, printers, Scanner.
  • Initiating and Managing 3rd party courier deliver services.
  • Provide leadership to the supervisors, to ensure team meets the goals and levels of service required.
  • Financial Management of Dispatch, approve quotations, release purchase order, Petty cash.
  • Manage the collection desk and related staff and activities.
  • Coordinate any necessary disciplinary action with HR.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Complete monthly management report

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Suitable Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Warehousing
  • 10+ Years of Dispatch & Fleet Management Experience
  • 10+ Years of Dispatch Team Management Experience
  • SAP Experience or any other ERP solution

Skills, Abilities and Job-Related Knowledge:


  • Superior verbal & written communication skills with fluency in English & Zulu (preferred)
  • Superior Problem solving and logical reasoning skills.
  • Superior Numerical Skills
  • Solid Computer Literacy with excellent Excel knowledge and abilities
  • Process Documentation Development

Salary is negotiable based on experience.

Salary:
R60, R75,000.00 per month

Experience:


  • Dispatch and
Fleet Management: 10 years (required)
Dispatch Team Management: 10 years (required)

  • SAP or any other ERP Systems: 5 years (required)
