    Responsibilities:

    • Financial:
      • Compile and present annual budgets and periodic forecasts to ensure effective cost management.
      • Measure monthly performance against budget and identify areas for improvement.
      • Authorize and submit cash book payments to ensure correct allocation of costs.
      • Report weekly on project contract revenue, kilometres, and profits.
    • Operational:
      • Effectively manage organisational assets and resources to maximise asset utilisation.
      • Develop and maintain procedures for day-to-day operational requirements.
      • Daily load planning and feedback to ensure efficient operations.
      • Daily management of vehicle maintenance and tyres.
    • Customer Relations:
      • Effective customer relationship management to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
      • Monthly KPI reporting and operational feedback to stakeholders.
      • Identification and implementation of cost saving initiatives for the customer.
    • SHERQ:
      • Identify, implement, and maintain site/depot specific requirements as per legislation, policy, and customer requirements.
      • Manage and control all assets acquired and disposed of according to relevant procedure.
      • Implement and manage an effective SHEQ system addressing all safety risks.
      • Develop a Workplace Skills Plan by assessing development and training required by subordinates.

    Requirements:

    • Degree or Diploma in Road Transport or Logistics or a Degree in Management with financial electives.
    • 5-7 years' experience in a Logistics and Supply Chain management environment.
    • 1-2 years' experience in strategic planning focusing on next year's activities.
    • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.
    • Experience in finance and financial analysis.
    • Knowledge of logistics equipment and associated maintenance requirements.
    • General knowledge of mechanical vehicles operations and configurations.
    • Knowledge of general expense management/budgeting.
    • Human resources management skills.
    • Relevant written and verbal contracts/service level agreements.
    • Experience in KPI reporting.
    • National Bargaining Council Agreements.

    Estimated Salary:

    R1 200 000 - R1 800 000 per annum, depending on experience.
