Purpose of Role:
As part of the Shared Services team, the Shared Service Infrastructure Manager is responsible for providing and maintaining a long-term information system architecture strategy for Shared Services technology and data, as well as managing the operations, reporting, support, enhancements, and projects relating to these systems.
Objectives of Role:
Primary Functions
As the Shared Services Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for the service delivery, operations, administration, monitoring and reporting of the following key components of the AGGPA technical infrastructure
- Workplace technical environment
- Microsoft and Google Enterprise Services
- Networks: LAN, WAN, Internet, Wifi, Security
- Hosting, Data Centre and Storage
- Virtual environment infrastructure (Hyper-V) and cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure
- Cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS and GWS service management and security
- End-User device management, printing, access, office admin, licensing
- Security
- Service management and operations
- IT Disaster recovery
The Infrastructure Manager will have the responsibility for:
- Identifying and implementing appropriate initiatives to ensure that our IT services are aligned with Best Practice and appropriate for our environment. This includes the technical implementation as well as user awareness campaigns.
- Incident, problem, service request and change management relating to infrastructure services
- Procurement of hardware and infrastructure services (and setting standards for the specifications for these)
- License management
- Project management of Infrastructure projects
- Reporting on the IT services to Head of Shared Services, entities, forums and Steerco
Outcomes
- Implementation and management of a stable technical environment supporting the Philanthropies
- Efficient and effective use of resources to enable the technical support of the entities.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 68 years relevant technical experience
- Quality Management
- Problem solving / resolution
- Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems/infrastructure and relevant specifications.
- Experience in commissioning services from third parties and managing relationships with suppliers and contractors.
- Firm grasp on IT Infrastructure and operations practices.
- Relevant network, Microsoft and security Qualifications are advantageous.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
