  • To provide robust regulatory compliance advice, guidance, and support by monitoring processes and related controls in accordance with compliance methodology and minimum standards
    experience and qualifications:


  • Minimum Qualification

  • Postgraduate or Honours Degree in a business-related discipline or in Auditing


  • Preferred Qualification

  • Masters Degree in a businessrelated discipline or in Auditing
  • Experience 3 to 5 years experience in a similar environment, of which 1 to 2 years ideally at a junior specialist level

  • Industry Expertise
  • Compliance Specialists must be authorities in the industries in which they work and often have a history of working in the industry in another capacity before becoming Compliance Specialists.
  • Deep Knowledge of Regulations
  • Interview, Investigation and Auditing Skills
  • Financial services industry with experience in specific aspects of regulations like Financial Crime, Data Privacy and Protection, Market Conduct, Risk Management, Compliance Monitoring and Evaluation

responsibilities:


  • Manages risks in own area of responsibility
  • Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships across area of specialisation
  • Display and encourage an appreciation of teamwork and inclusivity
  • Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development
  • Ensure development and continuous value add improvement to operational processes
  • Compile reports that track progress and guide business to make informed decisions
  • Deliver customer experience excellence in own service delivery aligned to Organisational values and service standards
  • Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
  • Control expenditure and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs
  • Support the central function by assisting in developing of policies, procedures, frameworks, and tools with specific focus on relevant risk legislation, for the benefit of the larger organisation
  • Provide input into the development of the tactical strategy, and develop and implement a supporting operational strategy
  • Provide an advisory service and consult with business to recommend controls and processes to ensure legislative compliance
