    Description

    Job Title: Financial Reporting Specialist

    This role is responsible for accurate financial reporting on a monthly and annual basis. The successful candidate will compile financial statements, reconcile balance sheet accounts, prepare tax and VAT returns, engage with auditors, and provide support during audits.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    The key responsibilities include:

    • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, financial statements, and other deliverables required for audits.
    • Submitting annual financial statements and statutory returns to relevant authorities.
    • Presenting monthly balance sheet management packs to management.
    • Analyzing financial information and preparing schedules as needed.

    The role also involves:

    • Providing general support and assistance with team projects.
    • Participating in stock taking procedures when required.
    • Contributing to team events and initiatives.

    Desired Experience & Qualification

    To be considered for this role, you should have:

    • A matric certificate or equivalent.
    • At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar position.
    • An understanding of audit techniques and banking platforms.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
    • A solid knowledge of Income Tax, VAT Act, IFRS, and accounting reporting standards.
