- Work as the leader of a maintenance team for reactive and preventative maintenance and repairs
- Fitting and repairing of mechanical parts of plant machinery, and transferring knowledge of best practice in this regard to the team at large
- Plan and support mechanical maintenance work of Larox PF Filters obligated in Contract.
- Ensure all work is performed in a planned and organised manner, following instructions and plans and complete work on schedule.
- Ensure that work performed meet all statuary requirements and company standards.
- Housekeeping duties of the maintenance area.
- In cooperation with the other maintenance personnel ensure the optimisation plant performance and continues development of site maintenance,
- Ensure a safe work environment and compliance to all HSEQ regulations and standards during the work and ensure compliance with statuary and other regulations as are required by law.
- Continually review and where necessary suggest changes that will improve the department occupational health, safety, quality and efficiency performance.
- Other duties as directed by line Manager.
- Willingness to assist in additional reasonable tasks on hand.
- Maximize performance on all equipment's.
- Complete job cards, logbooks, and inspection reports
- Conduct safety inspections.
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Trade tested Mechanical Technician red seal.
- Three (3) to four (4) years apprenticeship program.
- Minimum 5 years field service experience on Metso equipment, Mining equipment, and Larox Filters.
- Metso Certification will be beneficial.
- Computer Literate.
- Understanding our principles of customer relations and interaction.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a drive and performance orientation.
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
- Leadership and relationship-building qualities, a bias for action, and detail-oriented behaviours are required.

JOB TITLE: LCS LEAD TECHNICIAN/ LCS SPECIALIST
We are seeking a LCS Lead Technician / LCS Specialist to join our LCS team. You will be responsible for providing Metso's customers with professional technical support of its products.
This position will coordinate and work closely with the LCS Management Teams to assure a common understanding/application of technical support and information to support and provide excellent customer service on Metso Equipment in a standardized and industry leading manner.
In this position, you will report to the LCS Contracts Manager .
This position is mainly located in Centurion.
TEAM YOU BELONG TO
You will join a team of Technicians that strive to effectively deliver a seamless experience, that delivers a "technical solution" that meets the customer's needs, thus supporting the sales team to, to enhance and build relationships with the downstream effect on sales realisation.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as the Service Business Line and Technical Support Teams to assure a common understanding/application of technical and safety support and information to support and provide excellent customer service on Metso's equipment.
